Terms of Service

By creating an account and accepting this RBSE Agreement ("Agreement") with EnlivenWork Inc. ("EnlivenWork"), you agree to comply with the following terms:

  1. The University of Michigan ("Michigan") is the owner and creator of the Reflected Best Self Exercise™ ("RBSE"), a unique and proprietary feedback program that helps individuals see who they are at their best. Michigan and EnlivenWork, Inc. have further developed the RBSE into a website, workshop, coaching experience, Train-the-Trainer ("TTT")/certification program, and associated materials, including but not limited to user documentation, books, articles, videos, slide decks, instructor materials, and student materials ("RBSE Materials").
  2. Michigan owns all worldwide Intellectual Property Rights in the RBSE Materials independent of medium. "Intellectual Property Rights" shall mean ideas, concepts, trademarks, copyrights, moral rights, and renewal rights, including work based upon preexisting works, revisions, enhancements, modifications or translations; and proprietary rights whether registered or unregistered. RBSE Materials are protected by U.S. and International Copyright Law.
  3. As a user of the RBSE, you are not being granted any rights to RBSE Materials. You may not copy, alter, distribute, create derivative works of, or commercially exploit RBSE Materials in any way.

Privacy Policy

No Sale of Data

We will never sell your data. The RBSE is a confidential educational experience. There is absolutely no marketing use of the materials submitted to this site. We will never sell your data (name, email, phone number, content submitted), and we will not use your email or phone number to market our services to you without your express permission.

Who Can See Your Data?

Your data is available only to three sources:

  • The person writing the stories.
  • The person receiving the stories in a Best Self Report.
  • The technical operations personnel who may need to interact with your data if there is an issue with the website or the database.

Collection and Use of Contact Information

As part of the RBSE process, participants may enter the contact information (mobile phone numbers or email addresses) of people they wish to invite ("invitees") to contribute stories. This information is collected and used solely to:

  • Send a one-time invitation message containing a link to join the RBSE platform.
  • Support account creation and security for invitees who choose to join (e.g., sending one-time passcodes for verification via SMS or email).
  • Deliver service-related reminder messages to invitees, such as reminders to write and submit their stories.

We will never use invitee contact information (phone number or email) to send promotional or marketing material. All communications are limited to service-related purposes directly connected to the RBSE experience.

Invitees who receive an SMS may opt out of further text messages at any time by replying STOP. Invitees who receive email invitations may unsubscribe from future reminder emails using the unsubscribe link provided in each message.

Data Ownership and Deletion

We firmly believe that you own your data.

Self-service deletion: You may delete your data at any time from within the RBSE application. Deleting your data will remove all your information from our database, including your name, email address, phone number, login information, participation information, and any data submitted by you or for you into the RBSE.

If you are a participant, you will no longer be able to access your report after deletion, so please download a final copy of your Best Self Report before completing the deletion.

If you are a storyteller and delete your data, all traces of your data will be removed, including all stories you submitted for participants. This means that a participant downloading a copy of their Best Self Report after your deletion would no longer see the stories you submitted for them.

If you are an invitee who did not create an account, your contact information will only be retained temporarily to deliver the invitation, send reminders, and prevent abuse (e.g., duplicate or fraudulent invitations). After this period, it will be deleted or anonymized.

Automatic deletion: All data related to an exercise (including participant information, stories, reports, and invitee contact details) will be automatically deleted 90 days after the exercise concludes.

Commitment to Confidentiality

The RBSE is a confidential educational experience. All information collected is used only to support the exercise itself and is deleted once no longer needed, as outlined above.
